Castle Combe 25th July Review

under 16

Well it was a funny day for Mrs C and myself, Anna had been caught by the NHS App and had to isolate, so it was a bit strange not having her there. I think we were a bit lost.

What a day, so many grade 2’s waiting and waiting for an event at Castle Combe so that they could get their last part of their grade ones signed off, 3x grade 1s awarded at least one grade 2 and 1 grade three that I saw, well done to all of you, its kind of cool to be a dad (or mum/brother/sister/uncle/aunt) seeing the other members come up through the club, I remember Henry joining the club, and seeing him with his grade 1 badge was really warming, I think Ryan and Georgia were already members when we joined up, I certainly remember them going up through the grades though.

Maybe I should recommend coming along to Car Club one day as just an associate sans member just to soak it in without the stresses of getting your teenager to parallel park or do the reverse slalom. I didn’t even have any of my chips nicked at lunchtime!

Thanks to everyone on the gate first thing, I really appreciated the lay in and an extra few hours tinkering with the car in the garage.

I hear we had at least 4 new families turn up early to help with set up, thank you all for coming along and helping, its easier after the first time where, if you were like me you were worried that you had done it wrong, its a good laugh as well when you get used to seeing the same families helping out.  Thank you!
