I am delighted to be writing to you today, confirming that we will be starting the season on Sunday, 18th April as planned. It has felt like a long wait this winter, but we are very nearly there now. Members, make sure you are out there this week washing the cars and performing your POWDERY checks.
When I wrote to you last, I explained that we needed the Government to confirm that step 2 of the journey out of lockdown would happen on 12th April. This has now been confirmed by the Government.
We have our normal full schedule of more than 30 events planned for the year, meaning there will be plenty of opportunity for you all.
I will see you on Sunday (18th) at South Cerney. Remember we still need volunteer help setting up the venue, so don’t forget us when you are setting the alarm clocks for Sunday morning.
We will send our usual weekly newsletter on Thursday, with the details and logistics for the event. New joiners to the Club who are booked on the Joiners Day will also be sent joining instructions for the day in the coming days. I just wanted to confirm that our first event will be happening as planned.
