The British Red Cross have created a hardship fund that some of our membership may find useful.
The fund was created in order to help those who have been financially impacted by Covid-19, it aims to address acute hardship and suffering to those who are vulnerable, providing a short-term financial safety net for those most impacted by the pandemic. This support includes up to three monthly payments of £120 per person and will be delivered by a pre-paid Visa card. Families with children or other dependants can apply for up to three grants leading to a total of £1080. They are aiming to support up to 13,000 people across the UK.
